About Richard
I grew up in Toccoa, a small town in Northeast Georgia. Spent my youth on a ball field. Went to school in Atlanta where I obtained an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I was married for 55 years when my wife died. We had 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
I live alone in our retirement home and wonder how long I’ll be able to live without some form of care. My desire is to live independently for as long as possible.
Question is how am I going to be able to accomplish this.
Answer is, Technology. Computers, Alexa, Ring doorbell, Smart TV, Smart phone, and all the Apps that make these devices operate.
I’ve got a problem. I am somewhat challenged with these new technologies. I can go online and talk on the phone. That’s about it. I must learn how to use these technologies so I can remain self-sufficient as long as possible.
I will be learning how to use today’s technologies to remain independent. I plan to document my findings and relate them to you in this blog. If you’re interested get on board and let’s do this together.
